A nice rack...but doesn't work for me..

I have a Nitto M-12 rack that is pretty much brand new that I purchased from Velo-Orange a few weeks ago. I bought it for my Surly, but it won't fit on my 52cm 26inch version.

Should work fine on 700C bikes. Let me know if you want it by emailing me.

I'll sell it to US buyers for $50 (includes shipping) via PayPal.

While I don't need one at the moment, the N-12 is my favorite front rack. The material is strong yet bendable, and I've been able to install it on a number of bikes that it didn't "fit" on. What's the issue?

I agree...it's a great rack but it just won't fit on the 26 inch version of the LHT...

The issue is, that when I thread the strut that goes into the fork...the two stays that are suppose to bolt to the cantilever bosses fall about an inch above the bosses.... there is no amount of bending that will make it fit without breaking the thing!

You'd be surprised how much bending it can take to make it fit. I had to bend my about 3/4" on each stay to get it to fit on my crosscheck. I found that by keeping the top bolt a bit loose until you get the canti bolts in place, then use the leverage of the top bolt to help bend the rack into place.

I received the rack yesterday from Russ. I installed it on my 84 Specialized Expedition Touring bike and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the deal Russ.
