Back from my tour! Four minutes of fun for you all..

Just got back from my mini-tour around the Santa Barbara/Ventura/Ojai area. It was a blast. I've only been gone for 3 days and it feels like weeks. I filled up my Flip Ultra with tons of video and will make a little video about the tour.

For now, I'm going to take a shower and hit the sack. However, I did post this four minute clip from the trip. It's a four minute descent down Dennison Grade from Upper Ojai Valley to Ojai. Windy but nice shoulders and well graded.

Truly, a beautiful stretch of road.

I rode up the grade on my solo trip, so it was nice to go DOWN the grade on this trip. Enjoy.

Amazing! Thank you so much for that one--I think anyone considering a tour should be shown that video as an appetizer!! I am jonesing for a trip real bad, and this just made it worse...

That looked like a blast.

I love the 45MPH sign with a 25MPH Hard left sign not 20 feet down the road. See 3:49 for what I mean.

Nice! How did you mount your camcorder? I bought one after reading your blog.

RTP...i used a jobo Gorilla Pod (the big one for DSLRs)...I would say that it worked OK...still kind of slid around...

A nice feature is that it has a QR for the mounting plate so I can go from bike-mounted to handicam in 5 seconds...not completely happy with it...a Bogen SuperClamp would be the most stable, but not as fast to use...

Maybe I'll do an entry on the video gear...

Thanks for the info. I might buy a Super Clamp and see what I can do with it. I just posted a short clip from a ride I did yesterday using a low budget homemade mount for my Flip.
