Epicurean Racing

A beautiful video for Rapha. I'm not a big fan of pro-cycling because it seems a little boring and soulless (mostly because of the blah camera angles). However, this vid is beautifully shot and even though it is about roadies, it evokes the same feelings I have about touring.

I'm surprised to see this here -- while I see pro cycling as filled with certain types of human drama, I've always thought of Rapha as pretty soulless and boring -- after all, according to Rapha, style is paramount and style = Rapha. Nonetheless, a beautiful glimpse at the roads to be covered.

The Continental guys are great. Their stories on epic rides are always great to read.

Hey Russ, fantastic clip -- Kelly and I watched the race on Tunitas Creek (big climb), in the rain, this past Monday and it was pretty fantastic. The video of these guys climbing Tunitas is great.

Thanks so much for the generous write-up and links! Our new and improved, second edition book/zine is ready to be printed and we're stoked.

I went to their site - gorgeous clothes. But I checked out the tweed softshell jacket and had to read it twice - SEVEN HUNDRED AND FIFTY DOLLARS!!!

Damn. Beautiful stuff, but crazy expensive.
