I've gotten a few requests to add an RSS feed or subscriber thingy for E.C, so I put up a gadget that Blogger offers (see stage left). Can someone try it out and tell me if it works? And no, it's not a quaint trick to get you to subscribe (though that wouldn't hurt either).
EDIT: Thanks everyone. It looks like it works!

Odd, I've been reading EC in google reader for months.
I've already been using Blogger's native RSS feed. Click on the RSS icon in the address bar and then select which aggregator you want to us and voila!
Well I'm confused; I've been subscribed since I came across your blog a month or so back. Firefox (and I believe IE and Safari as well, though I could be wrong) offers up RSS links for most blog platforms that can then be added to a feed reader (my Firefox installation defaults to Google Reader).
I've been subscribed in Google Reader since the beginning but I went ahead and unsubscribed to try the button and it worked fine.
I've tried with Netvibes, and it works very well.
?? I didn't even notice it was missing? I use Google Reader for a feed. My son suggested it, and it works great for me.

Hi Russ,
The widget works fine for me. I've tested it, even though I'm reading EC from Google reader (my usual RSS reader) for a long time.
BTW, if you're using Firefox browser, a blue icon automatically shows next to the url. All you have to do is to click on it to add the feed to your reader.

It's hard to say if it works, since I've been subscribed since you started.
It didn't break anything, if that helps!

I subscribe RSS feed of EC since about at least month ago
Just fyi, you don't need a widget to do this! Since I found this site, I have subscribed via the open source browser Firefox's live bookmarks.
Every time you (Russ) post a new entry, it shows up in the bookmarks (Firefox's favorites)... no widget/special thing needed. I don't know if IE Explorer has this or not, but you of all people, with your penchant for the finer pieces of gear in life, should push the better browser over the crappy one! ;)
You can download it here for free."
Looks like it works with Google Reader. I've been getting RSS updates from you since you started this site, but I don't seem to remember where I got the link.
Oh well.
Been subscribed to your blog since I found it a while back. I use Google Reader and just clicked on the RSS link.
I already subscribe via Google Reader. The links look fine though - takes me through the standard process.
Have been subscribed for months in Google Reader.
I've always assumed people knew to use the RSS feed button on the address bar, but it turns out to be super helpful to a lot of people if you have the explicit RSS button you've just added as well.
