My votes go to VO and Acorn this year. Chris at VO has really put a jump start into EC-style bike stuff. He has sourced NOS or brought neat components back from obscurity and continues to fuel the movement! He' also a master of his own ship, bucking traditional business models. You've got to respect him for that.

I also have to give it to Ron and his better half at Acorn! They're making some beautiful bike luggage by hand in these United States! Their high quality without breaking your bank. I can't wait to see his new front rack bag.

I certainly buy most of my shiny (and not-so-shiny parts) from VO. They have parts that are obscure, and their website is pretty friendly in use and in tone. I vote Velo-Orange.

Knog lights. They made it ok for hipsters to ride with lights. What's next, helmets?!?

I voted VO but I would definitely give kudos to Acorn Bags...can we give two awards? I am impressed by Ron's fortitude and creativity in coming up with a plan to keep from being overwhelmed by orders.

The first EC award has to go to Rivendell, they are the classic Epicurean Cyclist company. Acorn and Velo-Orange might be doing great things now but Rivendell is the grandparent that raised many of us.

I'll also throw my almost LBS (local bike shop) in the mix Clever Cycles since they are showing LBSs how to do it right.

While two years ago I would have said Rivendell, VO has now left them behind, in my opinion. A much greater selection and a more modest company demeanor has sold me on the company.

I will have to jump on the bandwagon. I vote VO and Acorn as well.

Great products and great service for a reasonable price. Not a bad business model.
